Meraj Mohebi, Ph.D., P.E.

Founder & CTO

Meraj is a senior engineer and technology executive with over 20 years of experience across the oil & gas, manufacturing, aerospace and data center sectors. A licensed professional engineer and Ph.D. in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, he has led transformative projects at industry leaders including Chevron, Jacobs and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Meraj is known for bridging deep domain expertise in physical infrastructure with modern software systems to drive innovation in IoT, digital twins and industrial SaaS development. He previously co-founded SAIM, a digital twin SaaS platform for predictive maintenance and asset intelligence across fuel terminals and tank farms.

As Founder & CTO of Formantix, Meraj leads Fractional CTO engagements for asset-intensive enterprises, helping clients modernize operations and unlock new digital revenue streams. He is also a named inventor on multiple U.S. patents in the areas of asset management, digital infrastructure and intelligent operations systems.
